Carapace, a free monthly event of true personal storytelling in Atlanta, took on the formidable topic of 9/11 for a special show at the Decatur Book Festival. The result is neither another gloomy look back at our country’s worst terrorist attack nor a flag-waving celebration of America’s undeniable resilience. Instead, it’s an hour-long collection of thoughtful, often wrenching, sometimes even funny tales by five tellers whose lives, like so many others, were changed.
